Building Together A New Home

About Us

Khayelitsha Youth Program (KYP) is our solution driven innovation program aimed at a combat against social ills affecting the youth of Khayelitsha, the organisation registered as a non profit company in year 2024 after a well-researched Asset Based Community-led Development approach. The initial steps of this journey were first taken in early 2000's during the time our co-founder of the organisation Othandwayo Victor Mphathi Ngqulu embarked on creative arts practitioner's bumpy ride as an actor, dancer, poet and a creative writer. By year 2006 he then dedicated a decade of Arts and culture development as a facilitator, a theatre director and many other spheres of art were touched in his career. From 2016 he and his team of artists conducted a steady research on community led development that later gave birth to KYP in 2024.
